Google Adwords ‘Elimination’ Keyword Strategy

If you are inexperienced with Google Adwords, the learning curve can be a very expensive one.  Basically, Google Adwords, like any other college education, can cost a lot of money.

Google Adwords Seminar Coming February, 17th

Google Adwords will be hosting a live training seminar on Wednesday, February 17th at 2PM EST.  This upcoming Google Adwords training session will cover the topic of “Understanding Quality Score”.

The training portion of the class will last from 30-60 minutes and then everyone will take part in a live Question & Answer session.  Google is saying that the Q&A portion is valuable because you might just hear your question asked, and then answered directly from Google!

Build 1 Campaign Per Keyword Phrase

This might sound a bit extreme, but I’m recommending that if you advertise on Google Adwords, then you should build a campaign for each root keyword phrase.

A root keyword phrase would be defined as a root phrase built around supporting keyword elements.

Google Refining It’s Geo Targeting For Adwords

The system is not yet perfect by any means, but Google is pushing hard to accurately leverage geo targeting for advertisers with the Google Adwords system.

The goal of Google Adwords is to allow individuals to see unique ads displayed on their mobile devices based on their exact location.  For example, if I were in San Francisco and I typed “pizza” into my iPhone, the Adwords system would identify my location and show me pizza parlors in my immediate neighborhood.

Export / Import Google Adwords Campaigns

I finally had my first experience with exporting and importing a Google Adwords campaign!

The tool of choice of course was the Google Adwords Editor, Google’s free campaign management dashboard.  Adwords Editor is nothing less than an amazing tool for managing large changes across multiple ad groups and even campaigns.
