The Irony Of Google Adwords: It’s Really Not About Adwords At All….
The biggest irony in history!
Ready for the greatest irony in all of Internet marketing history?
You aren’t going to believe this, and may even want to hang me by my toes after I tell you…
But here ya’ go:
Success With Google Adwords Doesn’t Have Anything To Do With Google Adwords
Is that swords I hear being drawn….???
Sorry to break it to you, but it’s true – to be successful with Google Adwords we need to look beyond your Adwords campaign!
And where do we need to look then… you might ask…
The answer is your landing page!
That’s right, the true crutch of success with Google Adwords is isolated in your landing page’s ability to convert.
I use the word “convert” loosely because people define conversion differently! Some advertisers have a goal of capturing leads, some sales, some getting people to download something, et…
However, the point is the same. The true measure of success is found in your landing page’s ability to convert – however you might define that word.
You see, Google Adwords is really just an engine (search engine, ironically), that powers people down path – much like a car drives you down the road.
But it’s really all about that final destination (landing page) that really matters… not necessarily your car (Google Adwords).
I’m going to continue focusing on landing page theory, effective landing page design, and provide you with valuable resources, to help you get the most out of Google Adwords.
And I guess this is my first step in that process: Getting you to understand that Google Adwords success really has nothing to do with Google Adwords!
The web is saturated with material about how to setup, run, and manage a better Google Adwords campaign.
What is lacking, and what I’m hopefully going to provide to you here, is the most critical missing element – how to effectively convert your visitors once they click on your ad!
Do you agree with this?
I would love to hear your feedback and views on this matter – better yet, why not subscribe to this blog and follow along with the discussion as it unfolds…
