Could $1 possibly, even remotely, bring 100 visitors to your website?

This is an interesting question that I saw recently in the Google Adwords Group forum!

My initial response to this is “absolutely not”. However, I’ve thought about this a little bit more, and I’ve changed my answer to “it depends” and “possibly”.

My reasoning to “It Depends”

It depends because the question doesn’t specify a time frame.  So, asked another way:  “could $1 bring 100 visitors in 1 day?”  The answer is definitely no.  But expand that time frame out to a month – and now we enter into the the “possibly”.

My reasoning to “Possibly”

It is possible for $1 to bring in 100 visitors with Google Adwords because of the different targeting elements and tools that are available:

1)  Keyword matching: you could easily open your exposure up the the masses by using broad phrase match.  This would ensure the highest the number of impressions, thus increasing the probability of more clicks, and more ad spend

2)  Content Network: Now if you use broad match keyword matching, and incorporate the content network option into your campaign, we’ve just dramatically increased the odds of you being able to get 100 visitors for $1.

What are your thoughts about $1 bringing in 100 visitors using Google Adwords?
